Dear Trader,
Happy Monday, folks!
Something new starting today.
Every Monday we’re going to hand this letter over to our pros at Monument Traders Alliance and let them tell you what they’re watching for the week ahead.
Today we’ve got three traders with three completely different reads on the market this week.
Same goal though… find you the next opportunity before the crowd catches on.
Let’s get to it.
Quantum computing, trapped ions, and founded out of Maryland and Duke in 2015. Revenue came in at $80 million last quarter, up 287% on the year, and they closed a $1.8 billion deal for SkyWater (SKYT) at the end of July that hands them the largest exclusively US-based chip foundry.
The stock ran to $72 in May and fell to $32 by late July. CJ thinks that’s over.
IONQ returns to trading above both its 50- and 200-day moving averages for the first time since May. That’s momentum building.
It beat revenue and EPS estimates by $0.23 last week.
IONQ shares tend to buck the overall market seasonality trends as shares have entered their strongest period of trading for the year.

Call open interest is now building at $50 and $55, reflecting a shift in the options market’s expectations of higher prices after earnings.

Butterfly makes handheld ultrasound scanners, and the interesting part is that its chips are now going inside somebody else’s machine.
A medical technology company pioneering semiconductor-based, handheld ultrasound systems designed to make medical imaging cheaper, more portable, and accessible virtually anywhere.
The stock jumped in June after it announced a partnership with Midjourney, the AI company. Midjourney Medical is developing a full-body ultrasound scanner using 40 Butterfly chips in its initial design. This is an early example of how Butterfly’s technology could expand far beyond its own handheld devices.
The stock also jumped to a new multi-year high on a recent earnings announcement. Q2 revenue hit a record $32.6 million, up 39% year over year, while U.S. revenue increased 57%. Management also raised its full-year revenue guidance.
The company is close to profitability. Gross margin improved to 71.4%, while adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed to just $1.4 million, versus a $6.2 million loss a year ago.
Looking for the stock to continue this trend of making new highs every few weeks.
Bryan works a board every morning before the opening bell, and here are some of the highlights he shared with War Room members.
Time to Reload Biotech? “As the tech trade continues to waver, I wonder if it’s time for us to reload a new play on the biotech sector? As Merck & Co (MRK) pushes to new highs, could names like AbbVie (ABBV), Biogen (BIIB), and Gilead (GILD) be ready to follow along that same trajectory? Tracking.”
Aptiv (APTV): “This is a name that I particularly like. After an earnings dip, insiders are starting to buy. Last week, 3 separate insiders bought over 167,000 shares, which indicates that current levels represent a strong value. Tracking.”
Utility Bottom? “The Dow Jones Utility Average is testing and bouncing off a 3x support bottom dating back to this past May. If this bottom can hold, then names like Dominion Energy (D), Vistra (VST), and FirstEnergy (FE) could all be worth a trade. Tracking.”
